At Zo Techno, we pride ourselves on selecting vital tech and practical gadgets of dependable quality. We want you to be completely satisfied with your smart living purchase.
Our Returns Policy includes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law and provides you with additional benefits in addition to those rights.
1. Australian Consumer Law (The “ACL”)
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
2. Warranty Against Defects (Zo Techno Warranty)
In addition to your rights under the ACL, Zo Techno offers a standard 12-Month Warranty on all electronic products and smart gadgets sold through our website.
- Coverage: This warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship under normal use.
- Period: The warranty period begins on the date of delivery.
- Exclusions: This warranty does not cover:
- Normal wear and tear (e.g., scratches on screens, battery degradation over time).
- Damage caused by misuse, accident, abuse, or improper installation.
- Liquid damage (unless the device is explicitly rated waterproof and used within those limits).
- Modifications or repairs attempted by unauthorized third parties.
3. Major vs. Minor Failures
If your product develops a fault, the remedy we offer depends on whether the issue is considered a “Major” or “Minor” failure under the ACL.
Major Failure
A major failure occurs when:
- The product is unsafe.
- The product is significantly different from the description or sample.
- The product does not do what it is supposed to do and cannot be easily fixed.
- You would not have bought the product if you had known about the problem.
Remedy: You may choose between a full refund or a replacement of the exact same (or similar) value.
Minor Failure
A minor failure is a problem that can be fixed within a reasonable time and does not stop the product from performing its basic function.
Remedy: Zo Techno will, at our discretion, offer to repair the item or replace it.
4. Change of Mind Returns
We understand that sometimes a gadget might not be the right fit for your lifestyle. We offer a 30-Day Change of Mind Policy for your peace of mind.
To be eligible for a Change of Mind return:
- The request must be made within 7 days of delivery.
- The item must be unopened, unused, and in its original sealed packaging with all accessories and manuals included.
- You are responsible for the return shipping costs.
- A restocking fee (e.g., 10%) may apply [Optional – remove if you want to offer free returns].
Note: “Change of Mind” returns are not available for hygiene-sensitive items (e.g., in-ear headphones, wearable grooming tech) once opened, unless faulty.
